About the Role: We are looking for an APAC Marketing Leader to join our team. In this role, you will Lead a group of marketing associates in AP to deliver outstanding business and marketing results for the Gore Fabrics IBU (Ingredient Business Unit) under the GORE-TEX brand.

-    Partner with APAC Business Leader and diverse stakeholders to grow industry-leading brand with premium customers and value chain partners across B2B, B2C and B2B2C (co-op) channels
-    Leverage Gore’s material science strength in apparel, footwear, gloves and accessories, industries to offer best protection to human beings across the AP region
-    Advocate and act as a thought-leader and practitioner through the Gore global marketing organization

  

This role will be located in our Gore facility in Seoul, South Korea or Japan. 

  

Responsibilities: 
  • Translate segment, regional and brand objectives into implementable functional strategies and plans
  • Ensure delivery of an integrated marketing plan and its execution, to enable and support the commercial growth plan in APAC region
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish regional investment plans and oversee investment management 
  • Facilitate and drive briefing, planning, implementation and measurement process for the marketing functions in APAC markets
  • Drive, advocate and continuously improve marketing KPIs and measurement, effectiveness and efficiency of marketing investments
  • As an essential leadership member, collaborate within regional commercial team, and actively engage with Gore global marketing enablement team
  • Provide day-to-day people leadership and coaching to Marketing Associates in APAC (currently all based in Japan and Korea, may expand to cover broader geographic areas)

      

Required Qualifications: 

  • Business/Marketing Degree or MBA with passion for marketing
  • Minimum 10 years of broad marketing experience, with minimum 5 years in leadership roles
  • Strong multi-functional marketing experience from strategy to execution across paid, owned and earned media; on- and offline-retail marketing; B2B and B2C experience
  • Proven collaboration skills and capability in dealing with ambiguity, in a matrix organization and in multi-national environment
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to integrate across businesses and functions
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen and storytelling ability 
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills 
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal, to effectively communicate and collaborate within the team
  • Ability to travel, estimated to be 20%

      

Desired Qualifications:

  • Passion for the outdoors and / or sports lifestyle market & executive presence in influencing senior leadership/public media, etc.
  • Experience with leading Brand is an advantage
  • Language capability in Japanese or Korean is desirable
