Automation Controls Engineer
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or related degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment with hands on experience in industrial control systems
- Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, drives, and industrial networks)
- Experience developing and modifying electrical schematics
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and machine safety practices
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, and complete multiple technical projects and daily tasks while working with a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical ideas and concepts with technical and non-technical audiences (written and verbal)
- Ability to readily shift focus to support changing business needs
- Ability to travel up to 10% based on project needs (U.S., Europe, Asia, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience designing and supporting web handling equipment; including motor drive control systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Working knowledge with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, as related to equipment safety and design (i.e. NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, NFPA 79: Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, NFPA 86: Standards for Ovens and Furnaces)
