Chemical Process Operator
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of recent work experience OR Bachelor’s degree in science related field
- Experience working in a controlled/regulated environment which includes handling hazardous chemicals and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, face shields, aprons, and strictly adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
- Experience working within a defined Quality system and making good product quality decisions
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn more advanced systems
- Ability to routinely lift up to 35 pounds and be on your feet the majority of the shift
- Demonstrated ability learn and execute a manufacturing process and follow written instructions
- Ability to consistently achieve quality and productivity expectations
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to constant change
- Ability to pass a visual acuity assessment test including 20/20, binocular, and color with or without corrective vision
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the manufacture of regulated products
- Experience in a lab setting and/or chemical handling
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
