Corporate Financial Analyst
About the Role: We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Ventures team. The successful candidate will provide financial support for the Enterprise Innovation portfolio, playing a key role in our Internal Ventures team.
This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at a facility in Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona. Hybrid work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with monthly financial reporting, while pursuing efficiency gains via automation and system implementations
- Support the annual business planning process, including strategic and operational planning, the financial forecast, and quarterly outlook requirements
- Develop and update financial models for Internal Ventures projects
- Conduct financial diligence to evaluate new Internal Ventures opportunities
- Provide data-driven investment recommendations, ad hoc financial analysis, and project/portfolio KPIs for portfolio governance and reviews
- Partner with Internal Ventures project teams and leadership for executive consolidations and communications
- Aid in ensuring compliance to US GAAP with Accounting teammates
- Identify process inefficiencies and work with process owners to characterize and implement improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business and minimum of 3 years of finance and business analysis experience
- Experience working with large sets of data and deriving insights
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills, including success with working in cross-functional teams
- Identify best practices and influence teams to incorporate into standard business rhythm
- Can effectively communicate complex information across a broad range of stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work independently and deliver self-driven results
- Demonstrated ability to influence and integrate across project and functional teams
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a global manufacturing environment
- Exposure to Cognos, TM1 or similar financial system tools, ERP systems, and Monte Carlo / risk-based modeling software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
