Customer Service - Inventory Specialist

About the Role: We are looking for a Customer Service - Inventory Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the inventory of medical devices in the field.  You work will have direct impact to maximizing our inventory efficiency and maintain the highest customer satisfaction.  You will partner directly with the sales team and customers to source product for cases and collect on implanted (Waiting to Bill) inventory. 

  

This role will be located at our facility in Australia. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively collaborate with FSA's and customers to assist with field inventory management related topics such as ensuring that consignment auditing commitments are being met, reducing product expiration, reducing missing items, reducing time between implant and receipt of purchase order 
  • Partner with field and internal parties to coordinate consignment agreements; work closely with the sales sector leaders and planners to execute field inventory plans and develop strategy for field inventory as we approach commercialization of new products
  • Collaborate with sales team and analytics team to identify inventory improvement opportunities and coordinate focused efforts related to optimizing both trunk stock and consigned inventory 
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the field inventory management function; propose and implement solutions to ensure that we are managing our inventory as effectively as possible 
  • Provide support in the development, testing, roll out, and sustainment of inventory management tools, including training new field sales associates. 
  • Monitor the accuracy of Field Inventory levels, stock adjustments, write-offs and ensure transactions are complying with documented processes 
  • Conduct monthly Reporting on Field Inventory metrics against regional and global KPI's; conduct business reviews of these metrics with the appropriate audience 
  • Work in partnership with analytics to understand and analyze trends and opportunities related to field inventory, consignment, and case support stock
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales, Operations, and Planning teams; attend sales meetings as necessary to proactively discuss field inventory needs, opportunities, and initiatives
  • Relief support for customer service including order entry, phones and inbox management

      

Required Qualifications:

  • Have 5 years’ working experience in similar industry, including at least 6 months experience with data analytics, and with field inventory management, logistics, and/or finished good supply chain practices ;
  • Aptitude for learning new systems; proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including internal and external
  • Have solid experience in Advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated time management, problem solving skills, and the ability to work well with others in a professional environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs and priorities
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Oracle E1 or SAP and working knowledge of our sales tools such as Salesforce, Cognos, and Tableau is a plus
