About the Role: We are looking for a Factory & Apparel Management Specialist (f/m/d) to join our Product Support team, who will be responsible for providing factory management support to our Gore Fabric business.

  

This position is a temporary role for 24 months and will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, near Munich, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers certification process is executed effectively in EMEA, including contract work
  • Train and Troubleshoot GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers on Gore Quality & Manufacturing Standards, Branding, Gore Seam Sealing & Test Equipment, virtually or in person
  • Provide technical support to GORE Certified Apparel manufacturers to ensure that GORE-TEX garments meet our high-quality standards – this includes visual assessment of the garment constructions
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to bring cutting-edge technologies into commercial production and conduct factory trials and gather valuable feedback during the commercialization process
  • Identify manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions, working closely with internal teams
  • Oversee seam sealing equipment management from customer inquiries and quotes to rental, coordinating delivery and on-site installation, and return as well as provide technical support throughout that process
  • Ensure supply of machines and parts, including purchase order processing, inventory management and coordinating external machine maintenance process using our ERP system
  • Step in as a rain room backup specialist, conducting critical tests to validate GORE-TEX garment quality and document test in the corresponding database

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s degree preferred with minimum 5 years or more of experience in Textile and Apparel Technology / Production and Factory Environment / Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • IT and Software knowledge (Microsoft teams, outlook, centric, salesforce, etc.) 
  • Confident in communicating to different parties and conducting presentations in foreign language (English and German is pre-requisite); other languages such as eastern European would be desired
  • Excellent communication & presentation / teaching skills with positive appearance to communicate openly with the global stakeholders and in international culture environments
  • Able to work alone as well as be a team player in an international cultural environment
  • Self-motivated, resilient, self-managed and self-confident to think independently with excellent negotiation skills and desire to work in a hands-on environment
  • Strong analytical and logistical mind & sensitive in numbers - with ability to interpret numbers into critical message
  •  Ability to drive solutions and creative problem-solving attitude, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in fast paced operational environment
  • EU driving license 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Able to work with regional and global teams as well as with factories in the region
  • Take key learnings and feedback from external business partners and sharing with the internal stakeholders (and visa-versa) 
  • Proven ability to influence and contribute without direction from leadership
