About the Role: We are looking for a field sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading one of our most critical customer in the Korean automotive market. This role is instrumental in shaping Gore’s regional Clean Energy strategy and contributes to global growth through commercialization of advanced technologies like fuel cells, electrolyzers, and battery materials. You will not only manage sales performance, but also influence long-term product and partnership development, representing Gore in a rapidly evolving energy ecosystem.  

 

This role will be located at our facility in Seoul, South Korea.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver consistent, sustainable year-over-year revenue growth through identifying and pursuing high-value, profitable opportunities. Also align inventory and forecast assumptions (SOH) with business priorities and collaborate with sales leaders and business leaders to define and execute strategic account plans that support regional and global growth initiatives
  • Monitor and improve customer outcomes through performance assessments and internal strategic reviews. Success will be measured by revenue growth, strategic project pipeline development, customer satisfaction (NPS), and cross-functional alignment
  • Build expertise in customer operations, organizational dynamics, and industry trends and continuously monitor the competitive landscape and share actionable insights across internal teams
  • Engage directly with all key buying influences across functions and hierarchies. And actively identify co-development or customization opportunities that align with customer needs and Gore’s innovation pipeline. And build and manage a network of key ecosystem stakeholders (OEMs, tier suppliers, integrators) to enhance Gore’s market positioning
  • Maintain strong application-level knowledge of Gore’s Clean Energy solutions and clearly articulate the differentiated value of Gore’s technologies. And Identify evolving customer technical needs and collaborate with product and manufacturing teams and also leverage technical teams and tools to support customer development and decision-making. This may require to apply Gore’s sales fundamentals, including consultative selling and value-based pricing strategies and advance sales opportunities using appropriate methodologies; ensure clear customer value is demonstrated throughout the sales process
  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships across technical, procurement, and executive stakeholders so be able to engage with both existing and prospective customers to identify new use cases or segments
  • Demonstrate excellent listening and communication, internally and externally. And act with integrity, accountability, and transparency, in line with Gore’s Standards of Ethical Conduct. And also provide open, constructive feedback and contribute to team growth and collaboration
  • Rigorously manage pipeline, forecasts, and opportunities using Salesforce (“If it’s not in Salesforce, it doesn’t exist”). And develop and execute territory/account plans in alignment with business objectives
  • Development and attainment of sales forecast to support Strategic Account Revenue growth as well as individual territory revenue growth with setting clear sales call objectives and document all key interactions
  • Follow through on all customer and internal commitments

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales, strategic account sales or management, or customer relationship experience
  • Experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 environments, hydrogen/fuel cell systems, or e-mobility is preferred
  • Strong project and time management capabilities with the ability to understand complex technical applications and communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; high digital fluency and Salesforce proficiency
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional initiatives involving sales, engineering, and operations
  • Fluent in English; Korean language proficiency is a strong advantage
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and resilient under pressure and demonstrated ability to learn and adapt in dynamic markets, especially in energy, electrification and automotive sectors
  • Ability to travel (oversea and domestic) up to 20%

     

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Engineering background would be preferred, but not mandatory
  • Any automotive industry (Electrification, Battery, Hydrogen etc.) experiences would be preferred
