Financial Accountant (f/m/d) – Accounts Payable Coordinator
About the Role: We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Shared Services Center.
This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn, near Munich, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate a team of 2-3 people
- Oversee the accounts payable and travel process for all European entities, coordinate with IBM team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices
- Lead the month/quarter/year-end process related to accounts payable (accrual, deferral etc.), ensuring all entries are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and implement efficient travel accounting processes to streamline operations and enhance accuracy
- Perform account reconciliation, work with other functional teams to resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts where needed
- Collaborate with business teams including warehouse, logistic, inside sales etc. to ensure compliance with company guideline and statutory requirement
- Support audit activities for example local financial statement audit, Customs audit
- As a member of the accounting team, you will look for ways to globally align, standardize and improve processes across all European entities
- Identify areas of internal control and drive for solution
- Assist with other accounting duties as assigned for example statistics report, project support
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, with minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
- General Ledger experience and professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, good Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot table etc.) and experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
- Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
