Global Communications & External Affairs Business Partner EMEA (f/m/d)
About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Global Communications & External Affairs Business Partner (f/m/d) for the EMEA region to provide strategic communication counsel and support to further strengthen the positive reputation of Gore Fabrics with internal and external audiences.
A key focus of the role will be in support of consistent communication of Gore Fabrics strategy and application in engaging Associates, media and other divisional external partners across multiple markets. This role will help to develop and implement regional plans to help support internal and external strategy execution amplifying key highlights and opportunities with the business or region.
This position will be located at our facility in Putzbrunn near Munich, Germany, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
- Proactively drive with Fabrics Global Communications & External Affairs Leader and regional leaders the implementation of the Fabrics communications strategy and contribute to the Fabrics communications plan to reach internal and external audiences through varied media and channels
- Support regional issues management and crisis communication needs as an advisor to regional business teams managing large, complex change management customer communications and merger, acquisition, and divestiture strategies
- Serve as a skilled, knowledgeable communications consultant to regional leaders and other Fabrics employees on messaging, development, timing and delivery of internal communications
- Facilitate translation of communications materials, if applicable, and serve as the point of contact to facilitate divisional communications to applicable regions
- Conduct interviews/research to gather & validate information
- Support internal education and external advocacy efforts by serving as a skilled, knowledgeable communications lead and spokesperson on topics that have the potential to impact the reputation of Gore Fabrics, positively or negatively, especially those related to fluoromaterial stewardship, corporate responsibility and sustainability, and public policy
- Serve as a member of the Gore Fabrics incident response and issues management team, providing support for local incident response
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in enterprise/corporate communications, public affairs, or related field
- Mature judgment and experience working on complex, sensitive topics, including the ability to build credibility, develop strong working relationships and effectively navigate in a matrixed organization
- Experience working with business strategy and corporate communications
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and measure varied internal and external communications strategies, with a strong understanding of traditional, social and emerging media
- Strong capability in key message development, writing, editing and influencing skills
- Familiarity with packaging content in a variety of ways to engage stakeholders (e.g. various article formats, fact sheets, video, Sharepoint/websites, infographics, etc.) with a demonstrated ability to manage projects and collaborate with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong English and German oral/written capability preferred
