Legal Counsel, Litigation - Remote
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and member in good standing with at least one State Bar
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, delivering legal services as an external counsel or within a complex multi-industrial organization
- Experience managing cases through pleadings, motion practice, discovery, dispute resolution and pretrial preparation
- Experience in commercial litigation and product liability (preferably medical device liability experience); and environmental litigation is a plus
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and case evaluation abilities
- Strong advocacy and influencing skills, including the ability to help bring people with diverse positions to a common view
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to make solid judgement calls under pressure
- Ability to navigate in a dynamic, cross-functional, multi-cultural and multi-national environment with both local and remote teams with quickly changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically 10%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in litigation and arbitrations outside the U.S.
- Willingness to drive continuous improvement and change management in the provision of legal services
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in a multi-national organization
