About the Role: We are currently looking for experienced Manufacturing Technicians to join various teams in our Fabrics Division, Performance Solutions Division, as well as Core Technology in the Newark, Delaware and Elkton, Maryland area. This role provides the opportunity to join a growing team and help ensure that we are meeting our operations objectives and business needs. The standard hours are Sunday – Thursday 10:00 p.m. through 6:30 a.m. 

 

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. ​​

  

Pay and Benefits:

  • $19.00 - $32.00 per hour     
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities: 

  • Learn, support, and practice Gore culture
  • Be passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Manufacture product and advocate safety practices while working with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Engineering to include the use of personal protective equipment
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in continuous improvement efforts     
  • Perform equipment setup and operation
  • Perform inspection and testing
  • Perform data collection/entry   
  • Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products to meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to GMP/ISO standards
  • Interact and communicate with cross functional teams  
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience operating electrical cable tape-wrapping equipment in a bulk cable manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality control systems
  • Basic math and computer skills with ability to learn more advanced computer applications
  • Effective communication skills, verbal, and written communication skills while working independently and in a team environment
  • Proven attention to detail with ability to focus on primary commitments while managing multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, work overtime, and flex work schedule to meet business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and execute a detailed plan and follow processes & procedures
  • Ability to adapt to changes in production schedule  
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds on a routine basis

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior manufacturing experience working in a team-oriented environment with quality system exposure
  • Experience using a MES system
  • Experience troubleshooting complex equipment

 

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3).
