Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience performing preventative maintenance on complex equipment
  • Attentiveness to detail, good documentation, and record keeping skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Safety oriented
  • Basic math and computer skills with ability to learn more advanced computer applications
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts to meet business needs. This will include extended hours (10-12 hours per day) and possible weekends in support of IQ/OQ activities for the first 6 to 8 months
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds several times over an 8-hour period; also stand for most of the shift and climb steps as needed, while wearing a headset
  • Ability to identify, conceptualize, and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willing to adapt to changes in production schedule and shift to other manufacturing areas on short notice

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • PTFE manipulation and/or ePTFE coating or lamination experience.
  • Experience operating powered industrial vehicles (fork trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).

This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3). The term "U.S. persons" includes resident aliens ("green-card" holders) as well as certain refugees, asylum-holders and residents qualifying for temporary residence under the terms of 8 USC §1255a.
