Metallurgical Engineer
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or related discipline plus a minimum of 5 year experience in the medical device industry experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or related discipline plus a minimum of 7 years experience in the medical device industry experience
- Hands on experience with tensile and fatigue testing of NiTiNOL
- Subject Matter Expert in NiTiNOL properties, processing and microstructure relationships
- Familiarity with medical device prototyping and manufacturing, quality control systems, design control, validations, and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of metallurgical principals and ability to apply these principles to device design
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving capability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in team situations, as well as independently
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with electropolishing, surface engineering, and corrosion
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis techniques and the design of experiments
