About the Role: We are looking for a Payroll Accounting Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for preparing, analyzing, and communicating payroll trends.  You will also work with partners and stakeholders from around the organization to ensure policies and practices stay up to date, while focusing on continuous improvement.

 

This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware, or in one of our facilities in Flagstaff or Phoenix, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 
Responsibilities: 
  • Analyze payroll trends and communicate changes to finance and business partners
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders and business partners
  • Assist Finance with annual forecasting and monthly outlook processes
  • Partner with regional payroll accountants to ensure proper and consistent treatment
  • Navigate changes due to changing systems and business processes
  • Prepare and book salary and benefit related journal entries as needed
  • Prepare and review periodic reconciliations for salary and benefit related accounts as needed
  • Focus on continuous improvement and automation 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Accounting or Finance related Roles
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficiency in reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proven effectiveness in process improvement and implementation
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to build relationships and be a strong business partner
  • Ability to communicate accounting concepts to non-financial associates
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Payroll Accounting or Analysis
  • Experience working with Payroll Systems
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Reporting Tools

 

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
