About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Operator/Tech to join our team in PharmBIO. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various different equipment in a regulated cleanroom environment, performing accurate data entry and systems transactions. At times you will partner with technical, skilled trades, and continuous improvement teams to implement process improvements. Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Sunday Night through Friday Morning.

 

This role will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland.

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $19.00 - $32.00 per hour 
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in a regulated cleanroom environment, wear the required cleanroom garments and adhere to cleanroom protocols outlined in applicable procedures
  • Perform hands-on piece part manufacturing of quality products including, but not limited to, operation of multiple different machines, visual inspection and performing repetitive assembly (e.g., pinching, gripping, holding, etc)
  • Maintain up to date training records and strict adherence to procedures
  • Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products that meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to applicable GMP and ISO standards
  • Learn, support, and practice Gore culture, including developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships
  • Be able to work independently and within a team
  • Adapt to support business needs by working overtime, identify/support continuous improvement activities and learn additional areas within the cleanroom to support production and R&D activities, as needed

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment operating molding equipment
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment and wearing cleanroom garments
  • Positive influence and collaborative spirit with team members
  • Highly self-motived, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously while driving a personal development plan
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer skills, with the willingness to learn advanced systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective both independently and within a team
  • Superior accuracy in following written instructions (i.e. SOPs) with a demonstrated ability to learn new procedures and techniques quickly
  • Flexibility to adapt and change to meet manufacturing need, with the ability to work overtime
  • Demonstrated ability to cross train, performing a variety of tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs, bend, sit or stand for extended periods of time

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with regulated process documentation and GMP (e.g., batch records, process logs, procedures)
  • Experience in mentoring and/or sponsoring others
  • Experience with Resource Planning systems and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems
