Research Project Champion
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, chemical engineering, or related engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience (non-academic)
- Demonstrated success delivering on technical projects
- Demonstrated success partnering with non-technical functions, subject matter experts, and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, networking, presentation, and interaction skills
- Demonstrated ability to generate and test hypotheses, develop, and evaluate alternative solutions as well as capability to generate and test new ideas
- Demonstrated ability to convey technology and or material benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally
- Ability to develop, execute and communicate project plans and timelines within a global team to achieve project goals in a timely manner
- Ability to initiate own projects and reviews to gain support and resources
- Ability to travel 5% of the time
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, or chemical engineering with > 5 years of industrial experience (non-academic)
- Successful track record of experience championing technology projects in High Performance Apparel, polymer development, and polymer coating process development
- Experience navigating external service and supply agreements.
This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3).
