Senior Financial Accountant (f/m/d)
About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center in Putzbrunn (Munich). In this role, you will be part of our Accounting Team with main focus on the German legal entity.
- Responsible for general ledger of Germany legal entity
- Prepare and process journal entries
- Month-, quarter- and year-end close tasks
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Work closely with the team to ensure compliance with both local GAAP and US GAAP including collaboration with the business and Financial/Accounting leadership both locally and globally
- Ensure appropriate accounting in areas such as reconciliations, revenue recognition, valuation together with analysis of fluctuations
- Prepare and present the quarterly reporting, annual global reporting package and HGB financial statements
- Support External audit activities for local statutory and US group audit
- As a member of the Accounting Team you will look for ways to globally align, standardize and improve processes across all European entities
- Identify areas of internal control and drive for solution
Required Qualifications:
- Business degree and/or professional accountancy qualification (i.e. Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Relevant work experience (+5 years) in an international company or audit firm
- Technical accounting knowledge: HGB required and US GAAP / IFRS is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, advanced Excel and experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards and SAP
- Fluent in German and English
- Keen to take initiatives and a team player with high service-orientation
- Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment
