About the Role: We are looking for a Retail Channel Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead the SITKA Retail channel and will shape the overall strategy for the SITKA owned retail experience. You will be responsible for leading current owned retail teams as well as define SITKAs retail expansion plan.

  

This position will be located at our Bozeman facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities: 

  • Shape the overall retail strategy of the brand by collaborating with the leadership team to define the brand's retail goals, target markets, expansion plans, and channel optimization
  • Develop strategies to maximize sales, drive foot traffic, and convert consumers across owned-retail stores by optimizing product assortment, promotional activities, and community engagement to create a cultural destination for the brand
  • Enhance the customer journey, from store layout and design to personalized interactions and exceptional service to create a memorable brand experience
  • Ensure the brand's identity, messaging, and values are effectively communicated through the physical and visual elements of the retail spaces including our store teams
  • Lead the operational aspects to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless day-to-day functioning of the retail channel inclusive of inventory management and staffing
  • Lead store expansion by identifying suitable locations, negotiating leases, and managing the opening of new stores while also working towards format evolutions to ensure the owned retail channel evolves with our consumers and stays connected to local communities
  • Leverage data analytics and insights to understand customer preferences, buying patterns, and market trends and communicate key insights back to cross functional partners to drive action in areas of inventory management, assortment planning (in-line and SMUs), and marketing strategies
  • Lead, influence, and motivate a team of store managers and associates while delivering outstanding customer experiences in each individual retail store
  • Introduce innovative concepts and technologies that will enhance the retail experience, such as implementing digital touchpoints, interactive displays, and omnichannel strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a multi-unit retail channel as a retail leader and/or a retail operations leader
  • A minimum of 5 years with a +$200M premium consumer brand
  • Ability to drive sales to meet or exceed P&L goals while maintaining a high-end brand experience
  • Experience in retail KPI setting, tracking, and dashboard creation with the ability to extract insights from data and KPIs
  • Experience expanding an owned retail channel including location identification, store design, hiring, and grand opening planning
  • Expertise optimizing the customer journey in brick-and-mortar stores in areas such as community engagement, physical and visual elements, assortment planning, and staff training
  • Ability to efficiently operate a multi-door owned retail channel inclusive of inventory management, marketing planning and execution, and staffing
  • Ability to work across functions and teams to catalyze change in a positive, collaborative, and transparent way and providing coaching to support development
  • Travel 50%+ for nationwide for openings, special events, store visits, training, new location scouting and whenever necessary to achieve goals

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Apparel and/or footwear brand experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or marketing 

   

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
