About the Role: We are looking for a Visual Merchandiser to join our SITKA Gear Brick & Mortal Retail team. In this role, you will implement in store merchandising and displays for SITKA owned retail stores to deliver best in class retail experience. 

This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs

Responsibilities: 

  • Up-level the consumer experience with a focus on owned retail and key wholesale doors, elevating product, visual presentation, communication, and service while managing the holistic marketplace for retail and wholesale with the development of seasonal retail directives that ensure a unified, and excellent, visual presentation
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, and Store Staff to ensure seamless execution at key launch moments and color/product flow throughout the season
  • Represent and drive the consumer retail experience in seasonal go-to-market planning processes from product design inception to sales floor while owning the briefing for and collaboration with marketing on in-store signage, displays, and window needs with allocated budget
  • Support new store set-up, maintain current store set-ups and seasonal floor shifts, and travel as needed for unique situations in-between to support the defining of and evolution of SITKA’s in-store experience across all channels
  • Work with marketing leads at owned retail doors to be responsible for the daily management and presentation of product on the sales floor
  • Be main connector of owned retail and select wholesale doors to Retail Merchant/Wholesale Merchant through flow of information and feedback (from the sales floor to the merchandising team)
  • Own weekly touch bases with each owned retail door with marketing lead/store manager and attend monthly recap meetings to show marketing/merchandising/sales lead a condensed look at each owned retail door
  • Responsible for in-store marketing lead, all owned-retail store staff, and wholesale partners being educated on standards of visual merchandising through best practices training and follow-up
  • Communicate successes and share learnings to further enhance our use of best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising or related field
  • At least 6 years’ experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising gained at a +$200M footwear or apparel brand
  • Experience elevating product, visual presentation, communication, and service across a multi-channel marketplace with the development of seasonal retail directives that ensure a unified, and excellent, visual presentation
  • Experience planning and executing seasonal go-to-market plans experience design inception to briefing for in-store signage, displays, and window needs to setting up seasonal floor shifts and new store experiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to coordinate with internal and external marketing, merchandising and creative partners simultaneously
  • Proven ability to prioritize workloads, lead and manage multiple projects and rollouts simultaneously, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, working with field and corporate teams to plan and execute visual merchandising best practices
  • Self-starter who turns strategy into action with experience exercising independent judgement and decision making
  • Experience and proven skill driving process while working across multiple seasons in a high door-count consumer brand
  • Travel up to 50%

 

To minimize disruption to the business, while supporting growth and development, Associates are expected to fulfill a minimum of 2 years in commitment before applying to another internal commitment. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved.

 

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
