SITKA® Sales Planner
About the Role: We are looking for a Sales Planner to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate and coordinate planning activities for wholesale accounts with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to achieve financial goals.
This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Create category demand plans across categories that meet revenue targets and internal and external KPIs through collaboration with sales, marketing, finance and product development teams
- Build positive working relationships with key account buyers and planners to strategically build plans that meet their needs
- Recommend assortment and category plans specific to account that leverage incremental opportunities and maximize sales, margin and inventory turn
- Analyze account performance to help support business decisions and provide sales, marketing and financial guidance
- Monitor in-season forecasts and replenishment needs to improve accuracy, inventory allocation and account sell-through
- Identify in-season opportunities and risks through POS analysis and provide actionable recommendations to improve results
- Partner with Supply Chain Team to provide guidance and improve inbound receipts to ensure optimal on-time delivery to customers
- Play an integral role in the monthly S&OP process as a key participant in the demand and supply reviews
- Champion the development and reporting of sales planning metrics and communicate impact to S&OP community
- Build inventory receipt plans in support of financial plans and inventory targets
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field AND a minimum 3 years direct experience in sales/demand planning in a consumer goods company OR a minimum of 5 years related experience in a consumer goods company in any of the following areas: Merchandise Planning, Assortment Planning, Account Buyer, Retail Planner
- Deep expertise in retail math and application to wholesale consumer brands
- Experience in Sales & Operations Planning processes in the mid and long term horizons
- Deep expertise in inventory management practices and procedures
- Demonstrated experience working with Sales Teams to analyze point of sale information, industry trends and demand patterns to develop effect forecast models and produce accurate forecasts
- Demonstrated experience implementing solutions that improved forecast accuracy
- An understanding and appreciation for the brand
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, communicate, influence and implement solutions both internal and with external suppliers in a global environment
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Desired Qualifications:
- Preference for apparel & footwear consumer goods experience
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.), Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Demand Planning software, BI Reporting Software, any programming work (SQL, python, R/S+)
- APICS CPIM and/or APICS CSCP and Continuous Improvement certification
