Sourcing Category Manager
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years in strategic procurement/category management (preferred indirect)
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English including Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Negotiation skills, Contract development and management including the strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in APAC and JP countries
- Market Intelligence, Data Analytics, Project Management, Quality & risk Management
- Results oriented, Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Strong skills and knowledges to ensure that supplier selection, qualification, negotiation/contract and Supplier relationship/performance management be performed in a timely and sustainable manner based on the project time schedule and business needs
- Represent organization as prime contact on contracts or projects to interact with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organization with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and strategic suppliers
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Ability to work independently and to lead activities of category in support of overall category strategy and business
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Marketing or equivalent
- Global procurement experience (within APAC or Japan specific category manager experience) and/or Supply Chain certification (C.P.M., CPSM or SPSM, etc.) is preferred
- SAP ARIBA experience is preferred
