About the Role:  We are looking for a Strategic Marketing professional to join our team with a focus on Industrial markets for North and South America. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to create, influence and drive an integrated regional market plan that defines where to play and how to win. As a key member of our Industrial market facing team, you will collaborate with a diverse and dynamic group of associates. Your contributions will directly impact our vision to deliver reliable clean air and chemical solutions driven by megatrends in electronification, and decarbonization. In this role, your primary focus will be defining and integrating market opportunities leveraging market assessment tools while partnering cross functionally to drive outcomes.

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • $165,000 - $180,000 per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate regional market plan with Industrial Business Unit Leader, Americas Commercial Leader, Americas Regional Sales Leader, and Global Market Segment Leader
  • Conduct regional market assessments aligned to global segment strategy
  • Identify & evaluate growth opportunities for derivative, adjacent, and new product offerings or new segments
  • Identify and segment high priority customers and markets
  • Actively monitor industry publications, attend relevant conferences and webinars, and leverage market research tools to stay informed about the latest industry trends
  • Collect, assess and advocate NPD, M&A, and business model opportunities for the market in the Americas region
  • Develop engagement plans to enable and lead targeted customer engagements with the right message at the right level to the right person at the right time
  • Develop insights and inputs to influence marcom objectives and collaborate with the regional marcom leader for execution (messaging and brand elevation)
  • Monitor competitive activities and contribute to segment competitive intelligence
  • Develop annual marketing budget, acquire, and manage tools and resources. (market research, association memberships, subscriptions)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (marketing or business management preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of B2B marketing experience in industrial markets in product management, business development, or strategic marketing roles
  • Large customer network in one or more of our target industrial markets (Minerals, Metals, Energy, Chemicals) with an ability to develop and leverage relationships at the executive level
  • Expertise in market research, data analysis, and competitive analysis; capability to learn and apply market assessment skills from Market Assessment Essentials and/or the Big Picture Framework
  • Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to partner with sales, product management and technology associates to drive growth
  • Proven ability to assess complex and/or emerging markets and to identify and qualify credible demand opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, manage performance, and resolve conflicts without authority across functional and organizational lines
  • Proven ability to develop new insights and translate them into “Go to Market” strategies for the business
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization
  • Championing new product development ideas through a stage gate process

 

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
