Applied Research Leader
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience driving material or product development programs (vision, strategy, execution, financials)
- Minimum of 5 years with a demonstrated track record of effective, formal technical leadership with proven success in influencing, integrating, and resolving conflicts across functions, businesses, and operating companies
- Experience formally leading a team that resulted in adoption of new technology in a product launch
- Excellent teaching and application of the scientific method to drive results-oriented advancements in technology, including the coaching of leaders to drive functional excellence within their teams
- Ability to quickly review opportunities to identify gaps in technology and coach leaders and their teams to rapidly drive discovery of evidence to further invest or stop
- Demonstrated ability to generate and translate strategy into priorities/goals, drive performance and engagement through coaching and feedback, measures outcomes and hold others accountable for results
- Ability to lead through change and ambiguity
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in science, engineering and/or business
- Experience developing broadly leveraged new materials
- Successful experience leading and developing associates in global environments and skilled at developing concise work proposals and effective communication with leadership
