Automation Controls Engineer (f/m/d)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or other Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in automation and controls
- Experience with industrial motor drive and control systems, and industrial networking
- PLC/SPS logic programming and HMI interface programming experience Data acquisition, management and reporting experience
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawing experience to generate schematics and equipment documentation
- Knowledge of related engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and chemical engineering, and of applicable electrical codes and machine safety practices
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills and technologies, ability and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated Project Management skills for large and small projects, with a track record of achieving timelines and deliverables
- Effective communication and documentation of technical information and data
- Experience in developing specifications for communicating requirements to suppliers
- Fluent in German and English language
- Ability to travel 10%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems and server management
- Experience with high-speed automation, Robotics and batch control systems
- AutoCAD experience
- Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC and drive programming experience
- Experience with Wonderware System Platform HMI programming
- Web handling experience
- Process equipment validation and change process experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Working knowledge of Fire Protection standards related to equipment safety and design
