Required Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or other Engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in automation and controls
  • Experience with industrial motor drive and control systems, and industrial networking
  • PLC/SPS logic programming and HMI interface programming experience Data acquisition, management and reporting experience
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawing experience to generate schematics and equipment documentation
  • Knowledge of related engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and chemical engineering, and of applicable electrical codes and machine safety practices
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills and technologies, ability and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills for large and small projects, with a track record of achieving timelines and deliverables
  • Effective communication and documentation of technical information and data
  • Experience in developing specifications for communicating requirements to suppliers
  • Fluent in German and English language
  • Ability to travel 10%

 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and server management
  • Experience with high-speed automation, Robotics and batch control systems
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC and drive programming experience
  • Experience with Wonderware System Platform HMI programming
  • Web handling experience
  • Process equipment validation and change process experience
  • Working knowledge and understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Working knowledge of Fire Protection standards related to equipment safety and design
