Electrical Automation Design Engineer
About the Role: We are looking for an Electrical Automation Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in electrical controls design, software design, specification development, installation, startup, project management, and support for new and existing equipment and systems.
This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Phoenix, Arizona, hybrid work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
- Perform electrical design and hands-on support for process equipment (e.g., drives, programmable logic controller [PLC] logic programming, human-machine interfaces [HMIs], wiring schematics, power systems, instrumentation, and motor control systems)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree (including Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
- Experience with PLC logic or other industrial control and HMI interface programming
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and machine safety practices
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and drive programming, temperature controllers, and robotics
Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
