Environmental Management Systems Coordinator
About the Role:
We are looking for an Environmental Management System Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the compliance of Gore Fabric's US Management Systems to internal and external standards. As a Management System Coordinator, you will be driving successful audits for ISO:14001. You will participate in developing the management system strategy, identifying areas for improvement, and help drive management system software implementations.
This position will be located at our Elk Mills 5 facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Pay and Benefits:
- $82,000 - $105,000 per year

- Develop, implement, improve and continuously reinforce established environmental processes
- Provide input into the development of the business strategy to ensure compliance
- Build and maintain aspects and impacts register in accordance with ISO:14001
- Assist in ensuring compliance in accordance with documented procedures for all aspects of functional responsibility including an understanding of upcoming changes to the applicable standards
- Develop and provide an environmental training program to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Support and manage the internal audit program
- Conduct regional Integrated Management Systems (IMS) reviews
- Plan and lead internal and external audits in compliance to ISO:14001. This includes leading plant leaders and associates through audit preparation
- Prepare, respond and manage all external communications applicable to ISO:14001. This includes communicating risks found during audits to cross functional teams
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working within ISO:14001 Environmental Management Systems
- A minimum of 3 years experience in auditing ISO:14001 and/or a certified lead auditor to ISO:14001
- Experience leading 3rd party audits by following developed audit plans, assigning audit tasks, conducting audit meetings, defining corrective actions, and managing follow-up activities
- Experience in creating and maintaining aspects and impacts register in accordance with ISO:14001
- Strong computer skills; experienced with Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team skills, including customer interaction in person, by phone, or email to support audit team tasks
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to contribute within a team, actively engage and partner with manufacturing, leadership and technical Associates
- Ability to influence large teams
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with using/ creating a digitized register of aspects and impacts in accordance too ISO: 14001
- Experience with ISO: 9001 Quality Management System and ISO: 45001 Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience in Lotus Notes, SAP
