Machinist
Required Qualifications:
- Journey level skills demonstrated by a minimum of 6 years experience in an industrial production facility, coupled with additional formal training
- Machining (programing, fabrication and repair) skills, familiarity with shop equipment (Both CNC & Manual Lathes, Mills, Drill press etc.)
- Solid understanding of pneumatics/hydraulics systems
- Basic understanding of OSHA, NEC, NFPA codes, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Desktop computer skills, coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work from drawings and follow written procedures, and ability to use AutoCAD/Solidworks
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, including the regular/daily use of full cleanroom suit (coveralls, head cover, shoe covers, beard cover as needed), and ability to lift and carry 35 lbs
- Ability to adjust work hours to meet business needs, including working overtime/weekends
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a rapidly changing environment, and ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Ability to travel 5%
Desired Qualifications:
- Computerized Maintenance Management system experience
- Web handling experience and PLC Exposure
- Competent welding and fabrication skills (mig, tig. stick)
This role requires pre-hire medical clearance by Gore which may include testing to assess visual acuity and/or the ability to wear specific safety equipment as required during the performance of the role.
