Sales Operations Specialist
About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Sales Support Associate to join our Sales Operations - PharmBIO team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about delivering top-tier inside sales support for high-quality, industry-leading products. They understand the value of fostering strong interpersonal relationships, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and are tech-savvy, with the ability to analyze customer ordering patterns and work with the team to implement automated solutions for future order management.
This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. The East Coast is the preferred location for remote option.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales Associates to support the customer and independently support existing customer base
- Build strong customer relationships and provide an exceptional customer experience
- Create and managing quotations, proposals and tenders in a timely manner and coordinate customer needs with Gore
- Provide customer complaints/feedback; Understand and follow established procedures
- Ability to comprehend and explain the technical benefits of the products when interacting with customers and answering questions
- Provide customer phone support and ensuring phone coverage
- Work with Sales Associates on gathering regular customer forecasts
- Effectively managing contract and Purchase Order review
- Provide feedback and actively participating in process improvements
- Partner with cross functional members of the Account and product teams (i.e., sales operations, field sales, planners, finance, collections and product specialists)
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of inside sales/customer support experience or equivalent
- Experience with customer support and order management activities: generating quotations, processing sales orders, handling after-sale issues (e.g., RMAs)
- Experience working with internal and external customers (both domestic and international) in a professional manner
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) including listening skills
- Good judgment and ability to make sound decisions with strong attention to detail, including reviewing customer specifications
- Flexibility, prioritization, organizational, follow-through and multitasking skills to accommodate a large, complex workload in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of ERP, CRM systems, quality systems, or other supporting systems
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Generate system reports (order status, shipment reports, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 5%
This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3). Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
