SAP Integrations Architect
About the Role: We are looking for an SAP Integrations Architect to join our GMDIT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the technical architecture for integrating various systems within an organization, primarily using SAP technologies and other industry leading methods, by defining the data flows, interfaces, and protocols needed to seamlessly connect different SAP and non-SAP applications, ensuring efficient data exchange and system interoperability across the enterprise landscape. This role involves deep expertise in SAP integration tools like SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), understanding business requirements, and translating them into robust technical integration solutions while adhering to best practices and standards.
This role will be located in Gore facility in Bangalore, India.
Responsibilities:
- Define the overall integration architecture for SAP systems, select appropriate integration technologies based on project needs (e.g., APIs, BAPIs, EDI, OData), and creat detailed data flow diagrams and interface specifications
- Design and develop integration flows using SAP CPI or other relevant integration tools, configure data mappings and transformations to ensure data integrity during integration, and implement security measures for data exchange between systems
- Work closely with functional analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and project managers, as well as consult with stakeholders to identify potential integration challenges and propose solutions
- Be proficient in SAP Integration Suite components like API Management, Open Connectors, and Integration Builder, with deep understanding of SAP data models, interfaces, and communication protocols, as well as knowledge of other relevant technologies like web services, REST APIs, and messaging protocols
- Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure the configuration meets business needs and quality standards
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP, including system settings, process flows, and user guides
- Identify and resolve issues related to SAP design, providing end-user support
- Adapt configurations to new SAP releases and updates
- Provide training to end users on new SAP functionalities and configurations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of SAP experience
- Experience with designing and developing APIs and web services
- Extensive experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), SAP BTP or other SAP integration tools
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration capabilities
- Strong understanding of SAP business processes and functionalities across relevant modules
- Knowledge of programming languages like ABAP (depending on the project requirements)
- Bring a strong technical foundation; be able to engage the team on architecture, design, and deep dive on sophisticated solutions, platforms, and interface design, while also educating more technical staff on the underlying business principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Life Sciences industry is a strong positive
- Experience working in an international multi-cultural environment considered a plus
