About the Role: Gore Performance Solutions is committed to delivering breakthrough performance for customers' complex product and process challenges within several key markets and industries including aerospace, automotive, electronics, industrial and semiconductor industries. As a leading supplier of products engineered to be used in demanding environments, we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and disciplined Strategic Account Manager (f/m/d) to join our Automotive market team. The Associate will be responsible for one of the most important and influential accounts within the division and enterprise.

This is a remote position and you can work from your home office in most locations within Germany.

 
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide global, cross-functional team leadership for core and extended account teams
  • Utilize Strategic Account Planning process to develop and drive a comprehensive account strategy to accelerate revenue growth, utilizing a cross-functional account team to identify and understand customer needs and provide value-added solutions
  • Lead global account team through the process of developing SMART goals and related action plans - coordinate activities for core and extended team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key buying influences positioning for successful agreements, customer satisfaction and revenue growth
  • Facilitate regular on-site and virtual meetings, involving customer and Gore leadership
  • Identify short, mid and long-term revenue growth opportunities, develop sales strategies and maintain healthy sales funnel
  • Support S&OP and forecasting processes, ensuring reliable, actionable demand data is provided to the Supply Chain Team
  • Represent Gore’s Brand Promise to enable an exceptional Customer Experience and identify opportunities to create strategic value and develop mutually beneficial relationship with customer
  • Share knowledge, perspective, and insight in order to address current and future customer challenges, prioritize innovation pipeline and collaborate on creative technical solutions
  • Coordinate with Business, Marketing, and Technical Teams to identify internal opportunities for improvement, based upon customer feedback

 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10 years sales experience in Automotive Industry with technical products in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong Experience dealing with Automotive Accounts and Excellent knowledge of Automotive processes and requirements
  • University graduate with engineering background
  • Excellent negotiation skills in complex sales cycle and technical environment
  • Outstanding track record leading teams and coaching sales associates
  • Ability to think strategically, communicating current and future market requirements to business, sales and marketing teams
  • Experience utilizing an account plan process and related tools to define strategy, initiatives, goals and track effectiveness
  • Excellent communication in German (mother tongue) and English
  • Possess current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel 50% (overnight)

  • Leverage technical understanding to share insight, identify and explore new opportunities to bring valuable product and services to the market
  • Excellent organizational skills
