About the Role:  We are looking for a Test Engineer with expertise in electrical cable testing, particularly signal integrity, to join our technical team. In this role , you will be responsible for both current product testing and new product introduction, ensuring our cables and assemblies meet the highest standards for demanding environments. Additionally, you will offer engineering support to supply chain initiatives, e.g., cost saving, quality improvement, manufacturing capability setup, and capacity increase.

 

This role will be located at our facility in Shenzhen, China.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the design and development of testing solutions for new products, including refining test protocols, methodologies, and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Conduct daily maintenance and optimization of testing processes (in collaboration with production teams) to ensure efficiency, stability, and alignment with manufacturing needs. Maintain, calibrate, and manage testing equipment (e.g., network analyzers, TDR, WEE, Leakage) to guarantee data accuracy and equipment reliability
  • Investigate and resolve product/process failures through systematic root cause analysis, implementing permanent solutions while collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing teams to address yield, reliability, and performance challenges
  • Providing daily process support for the manufacturing of existing products, monitoring process stability and capability and applying lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical techniques to drive continuous improvement
  • Define, execute, and document a wide range of engineering projects, e.g., product transfers from other facilities, manufacturing capability setup, risk address related to safety/quality/customer complaints, and operational performance improvement
  • Built a strong collaborative working relationship with a broad range of associates (ex. Manufacturing, Quality, Product Specialists, Application Engineering, Planning, etc.)  and provided test expertise during new product introduction, process qualification, and troubleshooting
 

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S or above in Cable, Electrical, Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on test experience. Mechanical, Chemical, and Materials Engineering with strong electrical experience is acceptable
  • Proficiency in operating network analyzers (e.g., Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz), TDR, and oscilloscopes. In-depth knowledge of signal integrity principles, transmission line theory, and EMI/EMC testing
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., cable assembly, soldering) and willingness to support Process Engineering tasks
  • Strong team player, high initiative, easy, and ready to share valuable experience with others
  • Good command of English in the business environment and proven history of documenting and communicating work effectively
  • Resilient to change
  • Ability to identify critical issues and failure modes, creating a framework of action to address these issues and assess root cause, including effective risk-based decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions
  • Ability to initiate, prioritize, and drive projects to completion in an effective manner, with complex project management a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
