Veterinary Pathologist
About the Role: We are looking for a Veterinary Pathologist to join our team! Medical device pathology at Gore offers a dynamic and rewarding work context in which the pathologist’s expertise is a critical input throughout device development, from early prototype iteration to mature product safety testing. In this role, you will be a member of the Biosciences’ Pathology team that supports the development of state-of-the art implantable medical devices, including but not limited to vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, cardiac devices, surgical meshes, and sutures. You will utilize pathology training and experience to assess the performance and safety of medical devices in various animal models and implant locations in a regulated environment. This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.
- Execute gross and microscopic analysis of medical devices for a diverse array of device categories to include cardiovascular, soft tissue and other applications
- Perform additional responsibilities as required within the scope of position
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited or equivalent institution
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced research training (MS or PhD)
- Experience in a GLP compliant environment
