Material Planner (Gore Temp)
About the Role: We’re looking for full time Material Planner to join our Gore Performance Solutions Planning team in Shenzhen. It’s a temporary role with 18 months contract.
This role will be located in Gore facility in Shenzhen, China.
- Create, validate, and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Production Schedule
- Create and maintains Purchase Orders to meet on-time deliveries based on supplier’s quoted lead times to meet inventory and production requirements
- Ensure that applicable purchase orders and supplier communications comply with quality system and terms and conditions in regulated businesses
- Ensure the right materials are released at the right time to minimize overall costs and cash impact
- Partner with Planning and Procurement for resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for materials
- Leverage inventory tools/process to determine appropriate stocking levels for raw materials/intermediates
- Actively lead and participate in the continuous improvement of the material planning process
- Execute inventory levels and replenishment models for dependent and independent demand items that are part of the finished good
- Set-up, monitor, and ensure revision of essential system planning data for raw materials/intermediates to ensure ERP/MRP system is effectively planning future requirements
- Analyze supplier constraints for planning purposes to determine material availability for manufacturing scheduling
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field, AND/OR
- Minimum 5 years relevant functional experience in Materials Management (Buyer, Planner/Scheduler or Manufacturing Shop Floor Control)
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, (physical and cycle counts, physical handling), transportation, receiving, inspection, storekeeping, and salvage and disposal operations
- Understanding of inventory management & replenishment methods
- Detail oriented with excellent follow through
- Ability to effectively communicate to broad audiences
Desired Qualifications:
- APICS (ASCM) CPIM certification
- ERP and reporting expertise
- Operations, scheduling, and planning experience
