SITKA® Gear Retail Planner
About the Role: We are looking for a talented Retail Planner to join our SITKA®
This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Retail channel Demand Plans across various business categories that meet revenue targets and KPIs through collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, and product development teams
- Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Use data insights to make informed decision and recommendations to management
- Create and maintain Retail channel in-season sales forecast. Use in-seasons trend forecast to identify opportunities and risk to the seasonal plan
- Identify and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory to reduce excess stock
- Maintain accurate size requirements for the Retail Channel to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize stockouts or overstock situations
- Partner with Supply Chain Team to provide guidance regarding inbound receipt requirements to ensure optimal on-time delivery and Retail channel in-stock positions
- Recommend and present monthly changes to Retail demand forecasts in the recurring S&OP Demand Review meetings
- Champion the development and reporting of sales planning metrics
- Build Demand Plans and make assortment recommendations for new and existing stores in partnership with the Retail Merchandiser
- Partner with the Product and Supply Chain teams to understand Retail exclusive assortment strategy, build the forecast, create the Supply Plan, and ensure on time and in full delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years Merchandise Planning experience with a multi-store brand or retailer
- Minimum of 2 years managing Merchsandise Plans for 20+ Doors
- Experience maintaining positive working relationships with Retail Merchandiser, Retail Leader, Retail Inventory Manager, and Store Managers to build store-level sales plans aligned with merchandising strategies and company initiative
- Experience creating and implementing solutions to unanticipated changes or challenges
- Experience maintaining accurate sales plans for 2000+ skus
- Strong and effective analytical, interpersonal communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data, identify trends in the data and effectively communicate opportunity to leadership
- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 10%
