About the Role: GMC (Gore Medical Components) is in the midst of a transformation of our digital tools from a set of legacy systems to more a more modern set, centered around SAP.  Deployment of these new tools is only the first step towards value realization.  The next challenge is ensuring successful adoption and incorporation of these tools into our way of working.  Refinement and continual improvement of the tools is an essential component of value realization.  The GMC Digital Sustainment Champion is responsible for stewarding GMC through the post-implementation system stabilization and into an environment where we leverage these tools for ongoing value creation.  They will do so by building the infrastructure to drive sustainment and continual improvement in partnership with site-specific Associates and GMC digital team Associates leveraging Gore Business System (GBS) methodologies.

 

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, or facility in Flagstaff, Arizona with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead SAP sustainment and continual improvement initiatives to drive value realization of new digital tools by increasing production efficiency, improving ease of use and leveraging system-derived data to inform decision-making
  • Partner with plant SMEs, superusers, Business Process Specialists and Data Stewards to identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage sustainment backlog to ensure the highest value initiatives are prioritized and resourced
  • Partner with plant Leadership, GMC Leadership, shared SAP instance partners, GPS (Gore Performance Solutions) and GF (Gore Fabrics), Gore Medical (for IT support) and ETO (Enterprise Transformation) to ensure critical improvement activities are resourced to win
  • Leverage Gore Business System methodologies to drive continual improvement initiatives for digital tool
  • Support hypercare phase of new system deployments (e.g. additional SAP modules, eQMS software) to enable incorporation of new sustainment needs into backlog portfolio

 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in planning (forecast to plan), manufacturing (plan to make), logistics & warehouse management or quality management related to ERP systems
  • Demonstrated success affecting broad change inclusive of business processes, documented procedures, data flow, Associate behaviors and organizational design
  • Cross-functional influencing across a diverse set of backgrounds (e.g. manufacturing, quality, engineering, broad leadership)
  • Demonstrated success leading collaborative problem-solving efforts
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and resource complex initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience participating in SAP deployment and sustainment activities
  • Experience working with external partners (e.g. consultants, vendors)
  • Experience with kaizen, root cause analysis and other systematic problem-solving methodologies
