About the Role:  We are looking for a Document Controller to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will manage controlled quality system documentation in compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) and Document Control (DC) procedures in the Quality System. You will work in conjunction with others to implement document changes and coordinate internal communications to ensure changes are documented. You will develop into process ownership for MOC and DC having responsibility for defining, monitoring, controlling, and improving the processes.

  

This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sustainment and continual improvement of the MOC and DC processes and documentation through process ownership by driving, supporting, and/or implementing MOC and DC improvement projects
  • Establish, monitor, report, and coordinate with others to act on MOC and DC metrics
  • Support audits and inspections representing MOC and DC
  • Work with broader Quality Assurance to develop solutions when unique situations arise concerning system usage
  • Identify the best approach to training, maintain training materials, and deliver onboarding training, as required, for MOC and DC
  • Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) through the change management system to ensure clarity and completeness as defined in the MOC process while maintaining the integrity of the database (ECR)
  • Coordinate the document change process and flow of electronic documents through the document management system used to store, retrieve, and track documents efficiently while maintaining the integrity of the databases (Released Documents/Document Control/Specification Control)
  • Support calibration activities: create, revise, and archive calibration documents through the MOC process (Equipment Records, History Records, and Procedures)
  • Guide Associates through the MOC and DC processes

Required Qualifications:  

  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting quality assurance or extensive experience working with documents within a management system, preferably QSI 
  • Demonstrated experience developing/maintaining metrics
  • Demonstrated experience establishing short and long term strategies
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple tasks; ability to work long hours (6 to 8 hours) 
  • Demonstrated effective networking and influencing skills; ability to collaborate and influence effectively across a broad range of associates spanning varied disciplines and responsibilities
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to coordinate activities with cross-functional associates, to prioritize quickly and accurately and problem-solve concurrently and to deal with interruptions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven experience working effectively in team situations and as an individual contributor
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask with various applications while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail with demonstrated excellent typing and editing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and other applications (e.g., Visio, Adobe Acrobat)
  • Ability to travel 5%

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting audits and/or inspections related to MOC and DC
  • Familiarity with management system requirements/ISO regulations and standards as they related to documentation and change management

   

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3).
