About the Role: We are looking for a Technology and Operations Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead a team of senior leaders and technologists to create the strategic vision for Information Technology, Operations, and IT Services for Gore Medical.  You will be expected to foster innovation for infrastructure, operations, IT project management, IT services, IT quality assurance, and enterprise architecture.  You will lead a highly skilled and experienced team in the execution of strategic objectives and align to the broader Gore Medical Digital IT priorities and objectives, including investment management and operations planning activities.

 

This position will be located at any of our facilities in Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead a team to consolidate a strategic vision and framework for Infrastructure (including Cloud), Operations, Enterprise Architecture, as well as IT services, project management, and quality assurance
  • Develop annual operations plans in line with multi-year strategic objectives to align resources and investments to priorities and commitments
  • Lead and advise in the team’s efforts to execute strategic objectives and provide continuity of service
  • Lead and advocate for Associate experience within Digital Information Technology and supported customers in Gore Medical, Gore Medical Components, and across Operating Companies (where designed)
  • Create an engaging environment where Associates can exercise the Gore Principles to contribute in meaningful ways and succeed in commitments
  • Establish clear expectations of equitable and inclusive behaviors from Associates and act immediately to appropriately address negatively impactful or unfair behavior 
 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years experience leading in information technology (including the hiring, coaching, and performance and development of diverse teams)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical domain (infrastructure, network, architecture, etc.)
  • Experience in regulated industries, documented procedures, work instructions, and record keeping/retention
  • Experience and knowledge in the following domains: virtualization and hypervisors, hyperscaling in cloud, service-oriented architectures, infrastructure as code (incl CI/CD), enterprise architecture frameworks (Zachman, TOGAF, etc), IT information Library (Incl ITSM/ITAM)
  • Experience in data architecture, integration frameworks, and database administration
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
  • Availability to travel internationally, up to 15%

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • Expertise in 21 CFR Part 11 and ISO 13485
  • Knowledge and experience in technologies to support SAP, M365, Azure, Salesforce, Siemens Teamcenter, and Siemens OpCenter for Medical Devices [formerly Camstar]

 

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC §1324b(a)(3). The term "U.S. persons" includes resident aliens ("green-card" holders) as well as certain refugees, asylum-holders and residents qualifying for temporary residence under the terms of 8 USC §1255a.

 

Hybrid Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s hybrid working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
